realfloridaphoto  > Florida Festivals and Parades > Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire
Welcome to our gallery of the Lady of the Lakes Renaissance Faire held at Hickory Point near Howey-In-The-Hills and Tavares, Florida. As entertainment goes, this was complete immersion. All of the performers, from roaming characters you meet in passing to the entertainers in their many fabulous shows, were deep in character and provided a great experience. Even the English Accents were authentic. It was like being dropped into a soap opera of 1560 England and we loved it. If you have never been, go next year. Be sure to put aside the entire weekend. Every show is excellent and one day is hardly enough to enjoy it all.

realfloridaphoto > A bunch of us were waiting on the bleachers at the Chess Board Field for the Adrian Empire show to begin when this dapper-looking couple came strolling by. The young lady turned to us and said, "Are you all being entertained? You don't look very entertained. I'll entertain you!"
As pictured in the next photos, she certainly did.
realfloridaphoto > While we waited on the bleachers for the Adrian Empire Show, this young lady burst into gymnastics right before us. In an Elizabethan-era dress, no less!
realfloridaphoto > And with a great flourish, she finished her gymnastics presentation. I saw this actress exhibit this energetic behavior throughout the entire festival. She always made sure everyone was entertained. Not knowing her actual name, I nicknamed her Tigger on my files in the digital dark room. Later she delighted again in a show-stopping performance in the Human Chess Match as part of The Rogues Theatre.
realfloridaphoto > With a flourish, she takes a bow. Of course the audience roared with cheering.
realfloridaphoto > A knight of The Adrian Empire vows to fight gallantly for a young maiden in the audience.
realfloridaphoto > Those weapons were the real thing and the warriors did not hold back. It was an awesome spectacle to watch.
realfloridaphoto > Members of the Adrian Empire cheer on the knights.

This begins the ceremony to become squires.
